A Chat with Violin Viola Cello Lessons
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Kirsten studied music education at Bob Jones University in South Carolina. For the past two years she has taught professionally alongside teachers from Peabody at both The School of Music and The International School of Music. She has played under conductor of the National Philharmonic.
Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
Kirsten is a Suzuki trained teacher, and provides sheet music for all students. Students are advised however, to bring their violin and bow, sheet music they are working on, a pencil, a notebook, rosin, and a shoulder rest if they have one.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Seeing my students start to love playing, start to develop a passion for music and interest in the lives of composers. My violin teacher not only taught me a love for the violin, but a love for life as well. I want to pass that forward.
What do you love most about your job?
When my students perform with confidence, and I can see them smile knowing that they finally have mastered a piece. That makes it all worth it.
