This is apparently a new enterprise as it is undergoing some expansion. The dogs appear happy after their stay although one of them (a confirmed glutton) appeared to have gotten into an excess of food at some point. He was bloated, was not interested in supper and had a much larger than normal poop output for the next couple of days. He is none the worse for wear (this had happened before here at home when he got into the dog food storage with the same results) but this is of a bit of concern for future.

Excellent care and service. Made another reservation for Thanksgiving Holiday boarding. We would highly recommend this business. We did not know about Shady Acres until we received the Groupon. So happy to have found Shady Acres Pet Ranch. We are very happy to have the peace of mind that comes with leaving our dogs in such a safe, caring environment when we travel.

Great place! My puppy has a great time there and is able to use a lot of energy playing so he comes home relaxed and not so hyper.

My girls were so well taken care of! One even cried to go back as we drove off!

Unfortunately, Shady Acres failed to give my elderly dog his medicine. I filled out the proper paperwork and even talked to them about it. It just didn't happen.

Meagan was very sweet and took good care of my little man! He's adopted and was formerly abused, so I was very nervous to leave him. She was very reassuring and he did great with her and the other dogs. I feel he was very well taken care of and in good hands.

Shady Acres was great, my puppy came home tired and happy! She did not get sick like she had a other boarding places, we will board her there again in the future.

Wasn't quite what I was expecting. Both my dogs and their belongings came back filthy and smelly. The area I saw that had large dogs had no grass whatsoever. I provided enough food for 3 days and they came home with half of what I sent so not sure why they weren't fed per the instructions I left. I should have walked the facility BEFORE boarding or I would have made other arrangements
Shady Acres Pet Ranch is more like a farm than a typical boarding facility. On three acres of land, lush, green grass awaits hounds who can frolic in three play yards dappled with sunlight thanks to the property's 100-year-old oak trees. Pups spend their daylight hours playing with similarly-sized friends under the watchful eyes of pet-friendly staff members. Then, as the sun sets, they can hunker down in heated and air-conditioned closed-door suites that offer privacy for dogs who keep diaries. Though farm-like in many ways, the ranch does boast a number of modern amenities where it counts, including having a CPR– and First Aid–certified caretaker.
