The food was good. The show was okay. Overall we had a good time. We did it as a date, if we go again it would need to be a group date. The cheesy acting would be funnier with friends.

The food left a lot to be desired. The event seemed disorganized. Material indicated it had a 6:00 starting time/doors open and yet, when people arrived at 6:00 there was no one to greet them so people stood in a long line to check in. Once you got up to the reception desk, you were greeted by one of the actors. While we were standing there talking with the actor, a door swung open and hit me in the back (the bartender was making a quick exit to grab something)--not well planned to have your guests standing in front of a door that can be swung open. The actors were cute and worked hard to entertain. However, the venue made it feel like you were having a "chicken" something lunch at an industry gathering business lunch. The chicken was tough and not served hot; the vegee pasta was something your college kid who doesn't cook would make; and the salmon was okay. All were supposed to get a mug on departure--not that I necessarily wanted one, but they didn't have enough mugs for the vast majority of the attendees who were supposed to get one. They bought another box of mugs out when almost everyone had left. In short, go somewhere else.

It was very entertaining, lots of fun to participate in, and great food! My husband and I went with friends and we'll definitely do this again.

Show was good. Dinner was not!!

Clues weren't acted our rather you had to read pieces of paper shared with 10 other people at your table in order to solve murder. Boring. Actors should have had costumes rather than normal attire (detectives).

About this Business

Between rounds of a custom four-course meal, the Dinner Detective’s guests set their well-fed brains to sussing out who among them is a murderer. Groups of up to 80 dine on appetizers of vegetable spring rolls and steamed potstickers with hoisin sauce, warming them up for a high-energy, comedic investigation led by skilled improv actors posing as detectives, audience members, and talkative teapots. As guests dine on entrees, such as broiled salmon with lemon-dill sauce or vegetable ravioli with artichoke pesto and fire-roasted tomatoes, additional murders happen and clues are revealed. The best sleuth in the audience receives an award, with a dessert of cheese cake soothing the egos of audience members certain that Colonel Mustard was the culprit.
