If it's true that the color red stimulates the appetite, then the crimson walls at Mangia would certainly get the job done. But frankly, the walls here could be plain white, and diners mouths would still water as soon as they're bombarded with the sights and smells of the restaurant's inventive sandwiches. It's clear that a lot of thought has gone into creating each one. The Tokyo Tuna Salad melds Asian flavors such as wasabi and black sesame seeds, and the Heat Seeker's combination of Italian cold cuts, habanero-jack cheese, and tequila-soaked jalapenos is hotter than the centerfold in Grease Fire Monthly. Meanwhile, mini breakfast paninis stuffed with scrambled eggs and cheese allow guests to start each day with a full belly.
