Framed between two neon cacti, La Quesadilla Mexican Grill's sign leads the way into a nexus of Mexican staples crafted from family recipes. Cooks sizzle up succulent morsels of steak, chicken, and seafood, which they stuff inside a variety of tacos and burritos alongside the likes of pico de gallo and grilled veggies. In addition to these classic handheld offerings, they also prepare plenty of traditional knife-and-fork entrees from south of the border, including enchiladas verdes, chorizo-and-egg dinners, and whole chili poblano peppers dipped in egg whites and stuffed with white Mexican cheese. No matter what they fill lunch or dinner plates with, though, the kitchen staff are always happy to conclude any of their meals on a sweet—or dulce—note with desserts straight from the Mexican playbook, including flan, fried ice cream, and sapapilla—a deep-friend flour tortilla topped with honey, cinnamon, chocolate and strawberry syrups, and whipped cream.
