Generous portions, tasty fresh food, and very friendly service! This place serves great middle-eastern food with unique flavor blends. And the leftovers we take home always provide an extra meal or two. It’s a nice alternative to the trendy/pricey Uptown spots and greasy fast food that surround it.
Food was incredible. The guy running the show was wonderful! Will DEFINITELY be coming back!
Food was fabulous! Very pleasant staff as well!
The hummus is yummus, the kabobs are amazing & the chicken is finger lickin... with a side of amazing service from Mata, you may never eat at another restaurant in Uptown!!:)
Food was great. Parking was difficult
the cook took his time to prepare our food as it was not too busy when we went. everything tastes very fresh and well seasoned. the groupon is definitely a good deal. I'd recommend it.
Our sandwiches--the gyro and the chicken gyro--were both excellent!!
The food was excellent and the staff went above and be
We ordered the chicken kabob sandwich and the kabob plate. The chicken was well cooked and tasted good. The lamb was slightly burnt(the chef/waiter apologized when I pointed this out). The salad was fresh and tasty. We even got complimentary baklava when we finished our meal.
Overall good food at a reasonable price.

Though it's named after a city on the northern coast of Egypt, Marina Uptown is decidedly Greek. That's not that surprising, however, as before it was a resort town for wealthy Egyptians, it was a busy Greco-Roman port heavily influenced by Greek culture.
Marina Uptown pays homage to that culture in the form of classic Greek dishes, from gyros to lamb kebabs to spanakopita. Chef Adel, who's been in the industry for more than 25 years, often uses organic ingredients when creating the menu. He also whips up a variety of vegetarian and vegan options, including platters loaded with hummus, baba ghanouj, and falafel.
