Would hate to sound like a sour apple, the service was alright. My friend and I sat outside for 30mins before we received water or attention, then had to go in 10mins later to inform them we were ready to order... The food we waited for, for almost an hour was alright, not the best I've had (ordered Mongolian beef and spring rolls)... Most likely not returning, might save more $$ ordering from my local Chinese place. Waste of time and $$. Thanks!

my guest and I felt very intimidated as soon as we walked into the restaurant. There was one other customer picking up a to go order. we were the only customers after he left. we told the proprietor that we had a groupon and she rather forcefully asked us if we wanted crab Rangoon and saki or hot tea before we even saw a menu. the hot tea was $2.50 each, when we assumed (incorrectly) that it came with the meal, as is customary in Asian restaurants. We were asked what we wanted before we even could look at the menu. the food was good, but I have had better Chinese (Yen Ching in Clayton is extremely good). this was simply like a lot of other Chinese fast food places. We were overcharged by $1.00 per entrée, which we didn't realize until we had left the restaurant. We felt rushed out of the restaurant as well and had to pay an extra $6.00 for the meal of two approximately $8.50 entrees.

From Our Editors

Since emigrating from Taiwan in 1978, Chinese Noodle Cafe owner, Peggy Hou, has cultivated a welcoming restaurant atmosphere brimming with Hunan-style Chinese fare that claimed Readers' Choice awards in the 2008, 2010, and 2012 Riverfront Times. A compendium of fresh ingredients and an absence of MSG keeps the focus on healthy fare throughout an array of traditional dishes such as general tso's chicken, steamed vegetables, and beaver-friendly items such as wooden chopsticks. Noodle soups outfit an already popular menu with spicy, seafood, and meaty discoveries to broaden diners' horizons.
