From Our Editors
Riverbend Restaurant and Bar is named for the turns in the Mississippi River, which hug cultural epicenters like St. Louis and New Orleans. And while physically planted in St. Louis, it's NOLA that serves as Riverbend's focus. The chefs and mixologists alike bring Cajun and creole flavors to a local audience. Po'boys feature hand-battered and fried catfish; Louisiana oysters are baked in breadcrumbs, cheese, and garlic; and pasta, shrimp, crawfish, and chicken are covered in a creamy Cajun sauce. Beverages also honor New Orleans with Sazerac cocktails, as well as paying homage to St. Louis microbrews like Urban Chestnut.
