Since 2000, Tim "Giggles" Weiss has set up shop in the log cabin near Cooper Street and Lee Avenue to share his campfire-inspired recipes with the crowd at the Minnesota State Fair. Dubbed Giggles' Campfire Grill, Tim's spot features a menu of homegrown food. Red Lake walleye takes center stage in foot-long sandwiches, bite-size fries, and award-winning cakes, whereas salmon wraps give visitors a chance to try the stand's homemade sauces. Other dishes aren't quite as straightforward, as is the case with Tim's porcupine meatballs, which are actually a mashup of elk meat, gorgonzola, and wild rice.
