About St. Stefanos Super Greek Festival
St. Stefanos Super Greek Festival is a family friendly celebration of authentic Greek food, culture, dance, and tradition held every year in St. Petersburg. This joyous festival welcomes all with open arms, and there is truly something for everyone to enjoy and celebrate.
Food and drink: Church parishioners make most of the festival's food from scratch for an authentic, fresh taste straight from Greece. Some of the favorites include saganaki (flaming Greek cheese), pastichio, dolmades, lamb shank, souvlaki, and gyros. You'll also find a full selection of Greek pastries such as baklava, koulourakia, finikia, kourambiedes, diples, galaktoboureko, bougatsa, and the always crowd-pleasing loukomades (Greek golden fried honey puffs). Greek adult beverages such as Ouzo, Metaxa, and Greek beer and wine will also be available.
Shopping and entertainment: A variety of vendors sell Greek-style jewelry, clothing, and other interesting items for old and young alike. There is also a carnival featuring amusement rides, bounce houses, a rock wall, and games of all kinds to entertain teenagers, adults, and children ages 3+.
Dance: A large outdoor covered area is where you'll find uplifting DJ’s rocking the Opa! tent. A Greek band, The Islanders, performs traditional Greek music throughout the weekend. The KEFI Youth Dance Troupe and other KEFI dancers perform throughout the festival and provide instruction on how to Greek dance with the best of them.
Culture and religion: Visit the culture room to learn about Greek culture, ancient Greece, and the time of Greek gods and goddesses. Those looking to learn about Orthodox Christianity can enjoy a guided church tour.
