There were only 4 beer vendors and 2 beer trucks at 7pm Saturday evening. The people working at the beer trucks were not knowledgable and were not able to make recommendations. Very poorly organized event with minimum entertainment.

This was the worst event I have ever attended, and I am not hard to please.

I bought the saturday night ticket for two. Nowhere on the print out or the website did they mention what time the other tents/ stalls were closed. We got there at around 7 and not a lot to look at. The lines for beers weren't too bad but the tickets to buy them was kinda steep. Just not what I was expecting for an oktoberfest.

It was not enjoyable and very boring. The tents had run out of beer half an hour after opening and the samples were very small and warm.

My 3rd and last year going. Each year it gets worse. They run out of product too quickly, which makes the remaining lines too long, and the samples much too small. A little bit of good food, but not enough choices. I will not be going to this event again.

I arrived 30 min after event supposedly opened. Two vendors were out of product already. The vendors said the event opened 1 hour early. All vendors but 2 were out of product 2 hours into event run time. The 100's of guests still at event were now all on line for the last 2 vendors. Seems like poor planning on part of the festival organizer since all vendors ran out of product they were probably told an incorrect amount of guests to expect. Event has potential to be a really fun social event but they need to plan better so guests don;t waste their money and time.

From Our Editors

The third annual St. Pete Oktoberfest, hosted by the Grand Central District Association, is St. Petersburg's largest beer festival, featuring craft-beer tastings and live music. Attendees can tipple samples from dozens of breweries, including Bell's Brewery, Dogfish Head, Sam Adams, Angry Orchard, and many others. A home brewer's challenge on Friday tests out homebrewed beers against old favorites, so home-beer enthusiasts can test out their recipes on actual people instead of the wild deer that show up in their backyards.

In addition to the extensive selection of microbrews and iconic beers, the two-day street festival also features live music, including performances from singer-songwriter John Kelly on Friday. Saturday's music merges rock, blues, jazz, and funk, with performances from Florida-native Damon Fowler, Bobby Lee Rodgers Trio, and Serotonic.
