Wonderful atmosphere and charming people. Think it changed hands. Have not been back since then.

The service was terrible. We waited and waited to be seated. Then after ordering we waited to be served. The tea sandwiches were barely adequate. It was as if they were running out of ingredients and was more like essence of cucumber or tuna, Then they left us waiting at the cash register for an eternity. I finally left the approximate amount due since no one ever came to make change.

We enjoyed our lunch and were happy that they were able to accommodate us without a reservation. The food was delicious. I only wish they had gluten free scones to go with the tea.

Wife had pleasant time with Daughter and Grand daughter. Being English she really wanted just plain scones without things added like cranberries or chocolate chips and such. She asked about this when making reservation but only thing they had day of visit was cranberry scones. Still had a nice time.

This was my first time to a tea room. I made it a date with my daughter. We loved the tea and food.We had a service of Afternoon Tea and a High Tea. They had hats and gloves to wear which made us giggle (take pics!) The staff was friendly and very attentive. We even ran into some friends. It was nice to slow down and quietly chat and sip our tea. We ended our outing with a visit to a near by antique shop. I love being a girl!

From Our Editors

Lace tablecloths, decorative flowers, and china cabinets filled with ornate teacups and saucers lend A Corner Of England the ambience of a vintage parlor. In these whimsical digs, Danielle Bruning and her mother, Julie Hicks, brew certified organic tea leaves harvested from two century-old gardens in Assam, India. The women pour fragrant brews of black, green, and antioxidant-loaded white tea into teacups, along with concoctions of their own devising that they flavor onsite. Their Green Tea Delight blend, for example, marries the classic potable with chamomile, mint, ginger, and fruit peel.

During the bistro’s signature high tea, guests snack on housemade scones and cakes or savory bites of sausage rolls, quiche, and croissant sandwiches. Parents can stop in with children for a kid-friendly tea experience as tykes dress up in faux-fancy hats and gloves while sipping from cupfuls of a juice-tea blend. Quenched cross-cultural caperers can relive their high-tea hijinks or recreate the boston tea party in the neighbor’s pool with bags of dry tea and teacups, available for purchase.
