the small room was used due to damage in the larger room. there wasn't enough ventilation and it was super hot and uncomfortably stuffy.

I wish there more offerings for Saturday and Sunday. Those are the only days I can always attend, but the classes are packed on those days and it can be hard to find a space for your mat.

On her biography page, Jennifer-Ellen Mueller says her first yoga class "felt like coming home," an experience which prompted her to devote 12 years to its study. Matt Newman used to watch his musician father meditate, but it wasn't until he was recovering from a back injury that he learned yogic breathing could help him reach the same peaceful state. Scott Moore discovered his passion abroad—he's studied meditation in Korea and Ayurveda in Kerala, and taught yoga in Croatia.

Eventually, the paths of these three free spirits converged, leading them to found their own studio: Prana Yoga, a name adapted from the Sanskrit word for "life force." Each brings his or her own talents to the practice—Jennifer-Ellen helms the 500-hour teacher certification program, Matt leads fun-focused instruction in yoga therapy and energetic alignment, and Scott breaks up his yoga classes with storytelling, music, and pose demonstrations with marionettes.

The trio also works with a team of instructors who train students in 10 yoga styles within two practice studios, introducing the gentle postures of hatha, the synchronized flow of breath and movement in power vinyasa, and the rhythmic style of Prana Flow. Prana Yoga's team doesn't just care deeply for yoga, but for the students who practice it as well. Staff members perform thai yoga massage, cranio-sacral therapy, and botanical facials in an on-site spa, and they prepare food from locally sourced ingredients in the cafe. The team also offers reduced-rate classes in exchange for help around the studio.
