A little different take on Italian food; although the food was actually very good, the menu selections were too limited; too much pizza and sandwiches - not enough chicken dishes and no veal dishes whatsoever - a lot of their menu items appear based around their brick-oven pizza dough, including the bread they serve at the table. Choice of soup or salad did not come with the meal - had to pay extra at unreasonable prices to add. House wine by the glass was way over-priced for small portions. All food selections were very pricey - above average - this is probably the primary reason we will not go back - we will stick with Sorrento's & Little Italy for traditional Italian food at reasonable prices.

During lunchtime we were greeted at the door by the attractive and gracious hostess. There was only one waiter trying to serve numerous tables. The service was friendly, but very slow. I had the ravioli and it was way too oily and creamy to eat. The house salad and minestroni soup were great. The bread is freshly baked and excellent!

The place was very elegant and current but the tables were set up really close together. Everything was wonderful right up until the very end when the waiter realized we had a groupon. He seemed to be upset by it. After he left the bill he had nothing else to say to us.

This place had multiple issues. We drove an hour and were out of the food we wanted. Then the manager was rude about it.

From Our Editors

Acting as foodie diplomats for authentic, fresh Italian cuisine, the masterminds behind Brusketa Ristorante started a Mediterranean-inspired eatery in Mexico, and then brought their recipes to San Antonio. Their signature dishes include lasagna bolognese, pizzas fired in a custom-build wood-burning oven, and risotto funghi––arborio rice slow cooked with wild mushrooms from Italy. A seasonal menu overseen by Executive Chef Rafael Yoc M shows off ingredients served at the peak of freshness.
