The address and phone number listed was incorrect. They moved and that made it really hard to find. The double decker wasn't running so we had a trolley. The driver was really nice but considering the hassle and they only come around once an hour, I would rather use the bigger company in the area.

The Double Decker wasn't running today..it was like really? It's Saturday! There are several buses and tut companies but not real good signage. We did find the contact and got upgraded to a trolley tour which was excellent.

Will not run on rainy days so if rain in forecast don't take. Did let us take trolley but not as many stops as double decker.

Overall great! Must have if visiting San Antonio! Bus stops about 8 times at popular locations you can hop off and then back on (if you buy the hop on, hop off ticket) in an hour when it comes back to pick you up, it runs the same schedule all day, I do encourage you to also check out the other tour bus, that runs in San Antonio, that one makes 18 stops! Maybe more expensive though.

It was an okay tour. Hour long wait between pickups when there is another hop on hop off that runs every 20 minutes makes this one less desirable. However, the tour guide seemed friendly enough.

The bus was old and some of the seats are broken but the service and guide were great! You can't beat the price!

They swapped the double decker for a smaller trolley bus. The smaller bus was fine with a great tour guide. Just not what I expected. Also there was not a great frequency of busses. One bus did the same route every hour. It was ok? 3 stars

Disappointed that they weren't running the double decker bus today, and only option given was to ride the trolley instead. My kids were looking forward to riding the double decker bus. However the trolley ride and tour was enjoyable!

Before you go, make sure you call them, as they have moved from the address listed & that storefront gave you no info. In fact, when asking another bus company, they thought this company went out of business. They are now in the back of another store. With that said, we had a wonderful trolley tour (bus wasn't available), Jenny(?) was a great guide. Don't miss San Jose mission, very interesting. We did the whole ride first so we'd know where to pick up the trolley again. For the price, they did a great job.

From Our Editors

The tour guides at Alamo Double Decker make sure that participants will always remember the Alamo. That's because they whisk them aboard trolleys or double-decker buses for storied tours of the famed site of Texas's battle for independence. They also unveil more than 50 other points of interest, including landmarks in the Texas burg such as the Riverwalk, San Fernando Cathedral, and the Texas Ranger Museum, complete with secret portals leading to John Wayne's hat collection. In addition, tour guides lead riverboat cruises that float down the San Antonio River past boutiques, cafés, and seasonal flowers.
