One of the more popular Japanese restaurants in San Diego, Fujiyama delivers wonderful sushi and good seafood. It's a local favorite for visitors that want a decent price and a lovely waitstaff.
No specific attire is required, so feel free to dress casually and comfortably.
When you get there, think about ordering the sushi, the rolls, or the fish, since all three are great. For those watching what they eat, the robust menu does feature items that are gluten-free, low-fat, and vegetarian. If you're in a hurry, you can always take advantage of the convenient take-out menu. Or, if you just want to pop in for a beverage, the restaurant does have a pretty decent selection at its bar.
Specializing in lunch, Fujiyama is definitely worth picking up the chop sticks for. The service, in general, is "friendly" and "good." Also, its sushi chef is known to be "good," while the chef is "creative," and the owner is "friendly" and "pleasant." Don't worry about trying to find a spot on the street, as visitors to the restaurant do have access to a private parking lot nearby.
