After completing a 1,100-hour training program at the New York Institute of Massage Therapy, Kathryn Upchurch still hadn't quenched her thirst for knowledge. She went on to continue her education and learn additional types of massage, expanding her arsenal to include medical massage, myofascial-release therapy, and hot-stone sessions. This vast back catalog of techniques comes in handy during her custom treatments, and her deft hands allow her to excel at prenatal massage designed for mothers-to-be. Kathryn reserves 15 minutes of each treatment to allow for the client to change clothes, discuss current ailments, and go over the proper at-home care, exercises, stretches, and therapeutic yodels that will help maintain the benefits of the massage.
