Usually, I buy a groupon, then go and redeem it. Period, no other costs involved. I was SUPER surprised when I went to receive my first of three spray tans at Naked Tan. She told me it would be $6.50 extra to have a dark tan, so I decided to go w the medium tan which was included. Then she told me I owed $50+. I was so surprised! What? I owe you money to redeem a groupon? She told me the groupon was for $20+ off a pk of 3 tans. I couldn't believe it. I'm sure it was written in the small print of the groupon when I bought it, but obviously I didn't see it. Sneaky! I prefer the traditional all inclusive Groupon. She did allow me to apply the cost of my groupon to have 1 tan. It wasn't 3, but atleast there's no more $ out of my pocket.

Wear loose fitting cloths. If you are going to tan your face you might not want to wear foundation makeup. Or you can just ask for a cover for your face.

The price is right, but definitely not the nicest tanning salon I've seen. Older beds, etc. But it does the job I suppose!

The (tall girl, I'm blanking on her name right now) is incredibly informative and knows her stuff! I was instantly put at ease because I'm somewhat claustrophobic, and the experience was a breeze :)

This was my first time tanning, and it was an interesting experience. Check in was really nice and helpful. One thing I didn't know about was you had to buy goggles ($5) if you don't already have them and tanning lotion (cheapest $35). It was tough form me to rub the lotion on my back, so next time I am going to take someone with me.

The man at the front desk was rude, barely answered my questions with more than 3 words, unhelpful, made you feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, etc

From Our Editors

At Naked Tan, obtaining glowing bronze skin is a comfortable experience no matter which method clients use to do so. If they choose to tan in one of the salon's five levels of tanning beds, they'll be treated to such comforts as misting jets of water to stay cool, built-in headphone jacks for entertainment, and special facial and shoulder tanning lamps to speed up the tanning process. And if they instead decide on a sunless tan, they enjoy privacy inside a Mystic Tan or VersaSpa booth, both of which feature automatic drying so clients don't feel sticky after the application. Often clients combine the two approaches into a "double dip" package—a bed tanning session immediately followed by a spray tan. The two-pronged approach particularly appeals to people who need to develop a tan quickly before a special event, such as a wedding or a big speech where they tell off those nitwits at the Nobel Committee once and for all.
