Excellent and friendly experience. The special Groupon rate was amazing. You might want to know that they limit coupon holders to three per day. I had to wait a week for an appointment, but that was not an issue for me. Make sure you call ahead to book a Groupon appointment. Saved me a lot of money. It was $15 extra for the certificate.

Be careful of all the fine print. Surcharges are added on many things that the Groupon isn’t much of a saving.

If you consider this Groupon more of a discount coupon you won't be upset when they want to charge an extra $28 more. They were very busy and were friendly enough considering. takes about 15-20 minutes but expect to be there about 45 min to an hour. Be sure to call the day before for an appointment and mention you have a Groupon (upon arrival as well). Car passed so I'm happy. If you don't like those extra fees shop around as the one I had a few years ago in Daly City didn't charge extra.

24 hrs ahead, i called 3pm Wednesday to set up an appt for a 2pm Thursday, pay for total 28.75 for certificate and van fee in cash, out of there 2:10 pm Thursday

He charged me another $30 for the test so there was no deal at all. I coould have walked to any other place and it would have been cheaper.
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? We are Star Certified Smog Check Station. We don't do any repair. So there is no conflict of interest. We are licensed to perform any type of Smog Check. Such as Star, change of ownership, out of the state, etc.
What facilities or services do you provide for customers while they wait? We are located at Chevron gas Station. Corner of Market Street and Castro Street.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? Quick and efficient service smog check.
