Pacific Cafe: A User’s Guide
- Grilled sea bass
- Baked filet of sole newburg
- Sautéed crab cakes
- Fried oysters
When to Go: Pacific Cafe doesn't accept reservations, so try arriving just as it’s opening at 5 p.m. to avoid long waits. However, the wait is pretty pleasant thanks to complimentary wine for every of-age person in line.
Inside Tip: The portions on the menu are bigger than you might think. That’s because every entree includes sourdough bread from Boudin Bakery; soup or salad; and your choice of rice, potato, or vegetable.
In the Media: All three guests praised Pacific Cafe’s attentive service and simple seafood preparations on Check, Please!.
While You’re in the Neighborhood
Catch a flick: Head to the historical Balboa Theatre (3630 Balboa Street) to see a new release or speciality screening.
Enjoy a treat: Grab dessert at Happy Yogurt (503 33rd Avenue), where flavors such as Cable Car Chocolate and salted caramel corn change daily.
