Walkers are excellent and you can see your walk while it's happening. Plus you get a report card at the end of your walk! Great peace of mind and very happy with the experience so far!
I say I would recommend them tentatively - the app is incredibly buggy and its regularly problematic, definitely tests my patience... I like the convenience of having an app for this, cuts down on logistical planning with walkers I guess, but I'm still shopping for an app that doesn't make me want to pull my hair out quite regularly. That said, every walker I have had has been great, awesome people, it seems like the technology itself is underdeveloped and the support team hasn't been able to translate the issues to engineering? I'd recommend in a pinch, but always have a back up. you might not get a walker, they might change the time several times, they might cancel or change the time on you, and plan for support calls..
From Our Editors
Co-founders Joshua Viner and Jason Meltzer had a goal of making it easier to own a dog and created the dog walking app, Wag, to do so. They both had first hand experience that dog ownership by busy people on the go can range from impractical to unfair to the dog, but designed the Wag app to help change that equation.
The Wag app connects dog owners with available dog walkers, and allows owners to view the walker's route. Think Uber, just for dog walking. Owners even have the option to arrange a free meet and greet with an available dog walker if they wish. Walks can be requested on demand or have a recurring schedule. Walkers are rated by owners and screened/background checked by Wag to help owners find a great person with whom to entrust their dog.
