I like runs but I felt like this one was not very organized. Usually you will separate the walkers from runners and have those with kids start last. Everyone started at the same time so it was hard to run in between the kids and walkers. The kids were everywhere and it was a huge distraction to those who were running consistently. They need to have at least had those not running move to the right or had them start after the runners.

Well organized and followed through with donuts at every mile.

It was a small run (450 people) I cold not believe they ran out of water. The sponsers were already cleaning up when I crossed the finish line! Bummer that it was advertised as more.

They states there would be a candy buffet at the end of the race. But it was a lie. Just donuts. My kids were so disappointed

The Sugar Rush was advertised as a 5K with a donut for each mile AND "a massive candy buffet where runners can indulge in chocolates, gummies, and hard candies to celebrate all their hard work" but there were donuts and water only. ZERO candy buffet. My kids (and myself!) were so disappointed. False advertising. We would not do this again.

From Our Editors

Open to runners of all ages, the event also features an after party with a DJ, plus a photo area with a Candy Land-inspired backdrop, and runners are encouraged to dress up in costumes to add an extra element of fun. This year's race has an added challenge—the Krispy Kreme Challenge presents runners with a glazed donut at every mile, challenging them to finish with sticky fingers and all. Of course, the reason behind the run is also pretty sweet: funds raised go to support non-profits such as the American Association for Cancer Research and OAR Run for Autism.
