From Our Editors
Thea Mediterranean lives up to the reputation of its divine namesake with striking decor and artfully presented Greek and Turkish cuisine. Inside the two-story establishment, towering 20-foot olive trees watch over the dining room and a Venetian glass chandelier casts a glow over the elegant lounge and its mahogany bar. Even the floor demands attention since, much like Zeus's biceps, it's crafted from four different types of marble. The main spotlight stays on the food though, with Mediterranean classics like moussaka, a casserole of eggplant, lamb, beef, pine nuts, and béchamel sauce. Lamb shanks and seafood are also winners, filling the room with the aromas of traditional herbs and fragrant olive oil.
