Went there primarily as entertainment for my 6 years old grandson, but he was hit in the stomach with the first softball pitch and refused to participate again even after LOTS of encouragement and bribes. I doubt he will enjoy the batting cages again at least in the next 3 or 4 years. Sorry. I had very high hopes for this experience in his life.

Lots of fun! Just make sure to bring gloves since the bat I was given had wrap around the handle that was coming off some, bunched up, un even etc and gave me 4 blisters between both hands =( but great experience there otherwise! :D

more cages for softball hitting would be great, but overall a great place to hit balls. Thanks!

Ill come back for sure! When I pulled up the cages were empty. Which was great in the sense that I didnt have to wait long to get to cranking some dimpled nuggets. But I also went during rush hour. The highest speed is 80 MPH and consistenly pumping the pitches out.Seriously no stray pitches to dodge. I definitely appreciate the courtesy the attendant extended.

From Our Editors

Just two blocks from East Beach and down the way from Stearns Wharf, the crack of bats is a fitting addition to the soundtrack of the nearby crashing waves. Each day throughout the week, baseball and softball fans pop in at East Beach Batting Cages to get in a workout, perfect their swing, or shake off the rust from too much time between batting sessions. At the outdoor facility, eight baseball pitching machines wing balls at batters at 35?80 mph, and six softball pitching machines lob a choice of slow or fast pitches. After working up a hunger, patrons can indulge at Norton's Pastrami and Deli, located onsite, or take a stroll along the beach to see how the seals play their own version of baseball.
