Q&A with Ronee Kipnes, Owner And Teacher
Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
Classes are focused on meditative practices and sound healing, and are deeply restorative in nature. Students leave feeling renewed and ready to take on the world. This is its own motivation.
Sweating to the oldies is acceptable, but sweating to the blues less so. Do you find that certain styles and genres of music generate more intense workouts?
Kundalini yoga music, as well as Sanskrit chanting. Gong and crystal bowls are are used in this practice.
What is a typical session of your program or class like for a student?
Students sign in at front desk, set up their space, and prepare for class. Many classes "tune in" with a chant before we move through specific yogic sets. We may also employ some element of sound healing using either a gong or crystal singing bowls.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
We also offer private sound healing sessions.
