Legacy Equestrian Center’s chief instructor Kathy Abbott-Conflenti has a knack for molding horseback-riding champions out of beginners. She does this by overseeing every step of their equestrian education, from teaching novices the difference between a horse and a galloping goat to developing their competition-ready flare. The approach has proven successful over her 30-year career, as Kathy boasts a track record that includes coaching multiple World and National Equitation and Performance Champions. She grants each student access to her winning ways through curriculum-based lessons in saddle seat—a discipline that stresses effortless control and positioning with the horse above sheer athleticism. As students progress, they develop skills that translate to life outside the show ring, such as strength, confidence, and leadership.
