From Our Editors
"When we allow ourselves, at any age, to put away all of those fears about creating a piece of art and having a great time doing it, nothing is more exciting and wonderful." Artist Ruby Farias knows what she's talking about. The owner of Me the Artist left the corporate banking industry to pursue her passion—art—and hasn't looked back since. And through her hands-on classes and events, she hopes to show others how creative they can be too. The studio's calendar is filled with painting classes that invite students to select a specific painting to emulate, which is the first step required before changing one's first name to Picasso. From there, Ruby and her staff lead groups in the step-by-step painting process, imparting techniques such as shading and composition.
