Mira Pilates’ certified instructors originally studied disparate fitness styles—some were personal trainers, whereas others practiced ballet. Gradually, they found themselves drawn together by their belief in the wellness-inducing workouts of Joseph Pilates’ exercise system. Their classes combine classical Pilates moves with modern-day core and strength training to help students build flexibility, agility, and the ability to open that pickle jar they dipped into wet cement. Classes welcome all levels of practitioners. Beginning lessons help newbies integrate Pilates into their lives, and boot camp challenges intermediate to advanced students.
