It would be hard to find a better spot for Pedego Electric Bikes and its fleet of electric rental bikes. Numerous attractions wait within cruising distance of its doors, including the Fifth Avenue District and all of its restaurants, night clubs, and specialty shops. The shop also sits adjacent to the Arizona Canal Trail. This paved route runs both sides of the canal and travels 35.9 total miles between Phoenix and Peoria.
That distance becomes a lot less daunting when you consider that Pedego's stylish cruisers augment their riders' manpower with 500-watt motors strong enough to propel them up steep hills. Riders control the bikes with handlebar throttles that can direct motors to completely take over and return control to the legs. The motors are latched to rear axles, where the weight of most riders falls, and disc brakes on the front wheels provide smooth control, allowing bikers to easily transition from speeding to cruising to hastily pausing at tumbleweed crossings.
