The tour was fantastic! The company called the day before to confirm our time of pick up and our guide arrived on time. The vehicle was a closed van so the temperature was comfortable and we did not get dust in our faces as we saw with other tour vehicles that were open. Our guide JR was top notch. He was a wealth of information from geology of the rocks to trivia information about the area. He really appeared to love his job and provided a most enjoyable trip. We will definitely be recommending this tour company and if you book with them ask for JR. He really made the trip!

This tour was by far the best time we have ever spent. Our tour guide Lynn was excellent. Informative, polite, and just a joy to be with. It was a very long day, but she made it such fun, we were sorry it had to end.

Our guide, Kevin was a wealth of information which ranged from wildlife to the natural beauty of the area to the native inhabitants of this stunning preserved environment. No kidding, everyone should include a visit to one of the 7th Wonders of Navajoland.

The tour was very good. The guide did a very good job of showing us the spectacular vistas around Monument Valley. We made a stop at a dinosaur track area that was fascinating. A very nice lunch was also provided. The main negative experience was with the transportation. The vehicle was extremely uncomfortable. The seats were made for an person of 140 lbs or less. It was also not made for off road travel. Considering we were traveling for almost 12 hrs it was brutal. We were in the back and had to sit sideways. It appeared the owner was just trying to jam as many people as he could on trip without any consideration for comfort.

Kevin is an awesome guide. A veritable keeper of Indian knowledge. He has a dry sense of humor but his only goal is to make your visit to monument valley something you will always remember and cherish. What a day. groupon gave us a great price.

It's great, fantastic, super, etc. but it's an extremely long day. We got picked up at 6:30am and got dropped off at 8 pm. Our guide, James, was awesome!!

From Our Editors

Much of America's southwest is painted with shades of a single color: red. Bright crimson, dark maroon, and everything in between define the landscapes from Sedona's towering rocks to the the Grand Canyon's deepest points. These are just two of the destinations visited by Redstone Tours.

It's fitting that the company's name harkens to the region's rocks, since it was founded by a geologist. With a scientist as their inspirational leader and boss, the guides teach groups about the area's natural history as they lead them past the likes of Cathedral Rock and answer questions like "just how old is the Grand Canyon, and what does it want for its birthday?" Redstone Tours also leads tours of Native American sites and takes groups on rafting trips down the Colorado River.
