Five Things to Know About Gourmet Latte
Karissa Bresheare had a dream: to become a barista and open up a drive-thru coffee shop. To help turn her vision into a reality, Karissa’s stepfather built the shop in his own front yard until it was ready to transport to its current location, where it has fueled the Seattle area ever since. Here are a few facts to go along with your cappuccino.
Karissa’s caffeinated empire has expanded to more than 15 Washington locations.
Not all beans are created equal. The drive-thrus exclusively source their espresso from Caffe D'arte, which roasts Italian-style coffee using single-origin beans.
It’s not all about espresso, though. In addition to the cafe’s signature marbled truffle drink, they also serve up white chocolate mocha lattes, italian sodas, and chai teas.
You can get a meal with your drink. Gourmet Latte assembles sandwiches for both breakfast and lunch.
It’s good to know the lingo, especially if you’re health conscious. For example, “no whip” cuts 80–130 calories and up to 12 grams of fat from the drinks. The baristas can also make drinks with organic soy milk and hormone-free milk at no additional charge.
