You pay a hefty price for a membership and the majority of the facilities are always in use for something. So you pay to use a facility that is rarely open to the public because of so many activities always planned there. The indoor big pool has swim team there basically every morning. The toddler pool has swim lessons all the time. The gym is always taken by some racketball, Zumba, or whatever. The outside pool is overrun with daycare kids when they show up and morning hours end immediately as soon as public school starts back up even though we have a huge amount of Homeschooler's that pay for memberships and can no longer go in the morning with their children. It's a joke. Unfortunately it's our only local pool...which is what keeps the vast majority of people coming. If we had another option, the FAC would be easily put out of business. I attend regularly during the summer and know almost every other mom that attends regularly and none of them would return if we had another local option.
Not to mention there are no bathroom facilities near any of the playgrounds or water fountains that small children can reach and the staff (adults...the teens are friendly) are always extremely rude.
