Hamburger Hamlet has always been a favorite. The food is tops and the service is as good as the food.
Really good menu with items you just won't find elsewhere. My favorite is the Lobster Bisque and the 12oz burger steak with baked potato smothered in mushrooms and pepers- wow!
Customer Service was excellent. The only bad thing was one dish was cold.
Excellent burgers and good selection of beer. Service was lacking but the food made up for it.
Great food & service. Well worth it!
Place needs a major remodeling. Chairs and booths all tattered and torn. Food just ok. Only positive was the servicd
Just ok. I should've ordered a hamburger, or their famous lobster bisque, but I went for a Cobb Salad and it was very mediocre.
Food was okay. Good place to bring grandparents
Food was okay. Original waitress (who was also working as a bartender that day) seemed to have an attitude or be having a bad day. Disappointed since this is the last Hamburger Hamlet location and I grew up loving their restaurants. This was our first and last visit to this location.
Service was great but food was awful. No flavor in the hamburgers, and they were still raw in the middle.
From Our Editors
In Los Angeles, a few things are constant: the traffic on the 101, the tourists clogging the sidewalks at Hollywood and Vine, and the burgers of Hamburger Hamlet. An LA fixture since 1950, the shop (which started as the Sunset Strip dream of Harry and Marilyn Lewis) now lives on in Sherman Oaks, where owners Kevin Michaels and Brett Doherty oversee its all-beef legacy. As the name suggests, hamburgers rule the menu here. Made with California beef sourced from the Central Valley's Harris Ranch, these classic American eats come topped with classic combos ranging from chili and cheese to bacon and Dijon mustard. Newer favorites incorporate slow-braised short ribs or reuben-style pastrami, as well as shareable pub-style apps, but there are also plenty of old-fashioned favorites; try the restaurant's famed lobster bisque, or an all-day selection of hearty eggs and omelets.
