The festival was fun. However lack of products was disappointing. The food truck there was run by extremely rude employees horrible treatment and service and extremly over priced food.

I must admit we went on the last day but based on what we were aloud to pick it was not worth the drive for what they had to offer. There were entire sections of lavender available for us to pick from but we were not aloud access. Picture included is from the lavender we could not pick.

The lavender field was ok for AZ and gave us something to do, but is no comparison to France and Provence. Also, the Groupon included two bouquets of lavender flowers. But it didn't say you needed to pick them yourself and might have to wait an hour in line to get a chance to pick those bundles.

Overcrowded, lavender culinary and lavender bundle purchase agents were not graceful, rude and rushed. Felt like a meat market. The energy was not soft and gentle like other lavender farms.

Don't expect too much. 1 food truck. 1 small table with jam. 1 small lavendar shop. 1 very long ride to get there. 1 demo that wasn't a demo, but a talk while someone else plated premade food. 1 teeny tiny tasting of here's how to not taste lavendar in your food. Surrounding area/town mostly abandoned. Closest real food is in Show Low...I wouldn't make this the main destination, but more of a tertiary stop. I suppose they tried hard, but not a "festival"...more of a...let's have the neighbors and townspeople in for a get together.

Enjoyed our visit very much. Liked the lavender fields, red rocks and vineyards. Great photo opportunities!

Total ripoff. They basically charge you to come in so that you can buy their products. Nothing of value to the consumer for the price of admission.

It was great! Very informational. The store area is a little too small when the cooking class is held in the same area. It was way too crowded and wasn't able to see all the merchandise. A few more sitting areas would be nice. Tours were not available but advertised, would be nice to know in advance. Other than that we enjoyed it.

From Our Editors

In Arizona's arid climate, there's one little purple blossom that adds a pop of brightness to the dusty red soil: lavender. The growers at Red Rock Lavender cultivate fields of the flowers at high altitudes, and once a year, they like to celebrate the achievement. During the Red Rock Lavender Festival, they invite the public to stop in and smell the complete absence of roses. Each day of the festival is chock-full of lavender cooking demonstrations and grower discussions. Visitors also get the opportunity to roam the picturesque fields and collect their very own bundle of fresh lavender. Lavender plants will also be available for sale throughout the festival.

The farm's staff doesn't just grow the flowers, though. They derive a whole range of products from the fragrant blossoms, including herb blends, lotions, and scented candles. They carry all these products in the store, and they will also be available during the festival.
