"You don't feel in Beast Mode. It feels you." That quote, spoken by Marshawn Lynch ahead of 2015's big game between the Seahawks and the Patriots, goes a long way toward explaining the star running back's superhuman stunts on the football field. Of course, the rest of us haven't had the opportunity to charge through defenders and dive into the end zone. So the annual Beast Mode Challenge gives regular folks the chance to embrace their inner beast to run faster, jump higher, and persevere beyond what they thought themselves capable of.
And Lynch will be there to cheer them on as they conquer the obstacle-filled mud run, which raises funds for his Fam 1st Family Foundation that mentors underprivileged youth to boost their self-esteem and academic skills. The 3.5-mile course, which is open to adults and kids alike, features obstacles like the Training Camp's 40-yard dash, tackling dummies, and tires. There's even a Skittles Ball Pit—a nod to Lynch's favorite treat. Afterward, victorious participants can enjoy beer, games, and live music at a post-race party.
