First of all there were three of us, so it took 4 hours to get my hair done. I bought the balayage, cut and style. The other two women had the same package I think. I showed her a picture of the cut I liked, asking if she thought it would be more manageable with my hair type. And I also showed her the style and color of balayage that I was going for. While putting the foils in she refers to it as highlights. I try to clarify that I want balayage. She says she's doing something in between. I clarify that I would like balayage. She says I will love it. And I don't argue at this point, because they're mostly done, and I don't want to make her mad or make a scene. When she finishes the other women's hair, she says that it will be an additional $50. They seem a bit surprise but get out their credit cards. I ask if mine will be extra. She says, no she told those girls that it would be extra on the phone because of what they wanted done. But she doesn't have a card reader. They don't have $50 cash. She says she told them. They say she didn't. I know she didn't tell me. So she takes a picture of their credit cards "for later when her boss gets back from vacation next month". Which is obviously not okay. One of the girls leaves, the other goes to the restroom first. She starts complaining a bit, but then asks to see the cut. I get it out for her again and she tells me that I can't have that, its not included. I point out that a haircut is included. She says that it means trim, not cut. I say, then it should say that, because it says haircut, but if she needs to charge extra, I understand. She goes off on how some people don't have her values and how everyone's taking advantage. I'm getting really uncomfortable. And really start considering walking out. She says she'll do the cut "from the bottom of her heart". I remind her that if she want's extra for the cut is extra, I'll pay. And she starts cutting my hair. The other girl comes out of the bathroom, I'm sure having heard the stylist complain about her and also me having an issue. After she leaves, the stylist finishes the cut. I'm sooo uncomfortable, but I stick around. In the end she shows me the back, which does look great, and I tip her, fill out a weird form about my skin care preferences, sign another form about not suing for damages or something and leave. Later when I get home, I take a closer look and realize that my roots look really choppy, like, grown out highlights choppy. Not like balayage at all. So now I have to go get it fixed. I wish I could get my money back. This place was a disaster. So unprofessional and rude. I feel even worse for the other two women who were before me. And I hope that they check there credit score and statements very carefully. Because taking a picture of a client's credit card to charge a month later is super sketchy.
