Chamak Artisan Chocolates & Confections takes tongues on a flavorful trip around the world. As one of only a few chocolatiers who specialize in southeast Asian flavors, Sarah Ali introduces clients to exotic artisan chocolates they likely have never tried before.
She whips up handcrafted chocolates, including flame-colored sholay confections, which infuse dark chocolate with red-pepper and cinnamon. Utilizing her background as a makeup artist, she can also hand-paint or airbrush chocolates with customized messages and designs. Among her exotic truffles are vegan treats such as the chai aur biscoot, flavored with cinnamon, nutmeg, and other chai infusions. Other desserts draw on Bollywood songs, such as the gulabi aankhen jo teri ("Your Rose-Like Eyes"), a drop of sweet milk chocolate injected with rose essence and rolled in poppy seeds.
