By giving her daughter a one-of-a-kind birthday party, Inabella's Sweet Events owner Andreina Capdevila gave herself something even more important: a new career path. Andreina, a mother of two, began learning pastry and baking techniques to create homemade treats for her daughter's birthday, and after her creations became a hit, she went on to found Inabella's Sweet Events, which she lovingly named after her daughter.
Seven days a week, the skilled pastry chef blends fresh ingredients to create her cake pops, then decorates each pop to complement any requested color scheme or theme, such as Hello Kitty or pirates in period-piece Victorian swimwear. Clients choose from a variety of cake flavors—including french vanilla, triple chocolate, dulce de leche, and fruit-infused strawberry—before Andreina dips the hand-formed balls in melted chocolate and tops them with Rice Krispies treats, chocolate chips, and sugar crystals. Each batch of petite treats is handcrafted the morning of delivery to ensure optimum freshness.
