The employees at BannaStrow’s Crepes and Coffee expertly pour and flip crepes before customers' eyes. As they shape the thin pancakes, the employees stuff them with hearty fillings of both sweet and savory varieties, including fruit, meats, and cheeses. The crepe shop's name, as reported by the Miami New Times, derives from the bananas and strawberries hiding in the popular sweet crepe, drizzled in caramel or chocolate.
The menu is carefully calibrated to appeal to all palates and age levels, from the simple sweet teeth of children, which thrill to the buttery sweetness of the peach melba crepe, to sophisticated adult palates, which find complexity in the European flavors of the spinach and artichoke crepe. Savory crepes also include pizza crepes.
