Fish Tails Market & Gardens prefers to harvest what’s familiar. That’s why the staff curates a selection of fresh seafood plucked from the nearby Gulf of Mexico. What Fish Tails can’t find nearby it shuttles in from around the country, though it has a policy that all imports must equal the freshness of local fish and have a valid Florida driver’s license. This allegiance to fresh seafood includes local selections of grouper, cobia, snapper, and wahoo, and countrywide brought-in selections such as cod, swordfish, yellowfin tuna, mussels, and scallops. Fish Tails Market also boasts 8–12 varieties of fish and 2–4 smoke fish daily, as well as crab cakes, gumbo, and chowder.
