This was a really fun event, but I would not pay the full price to do it. Thankfully, with Groupon, it was affordable, fun, and worth the buy one, get one free price! :)

This is not a show that you sit and watch others act out. You are the show and have to leave your seat to get clues and ask questions from other guests that are part of the show. The food is okay. Nothing to write home about

From Our Editors

The Murder Mystery Company challenges diners to exercise detective skills and fledgling telepathic abilities in a comedic evening of mock murder and faux fatalities that unfolds during a three-course meal. Between an introductory salad and a mystery-dessert epilogue, guests nosh on one of three of the Empress Tea Room & Bistro's main-course munchables, including options with fish, chicken, or vegetables fashioned to spell out a ransom note. As mouths occupy themselves, the mystery begins with a murder, and a detective soon arrives on the scene to locate the perpetrator in the audience. Tablemates work together to clear their good names, slyly sleuthing and sorting out clues, flexing critical-thinking skills, and preparing for futures in real-life crime. All patrons will receive a photo slideshow from the performance as a way to fondly remember light-hearted death-themed evenings.
