The wait was a bit long even after making an appointment. However, they took into account that we had to be somewhere and took care of us quickly while still putting effort in and doing a great job on my toes :)

Very nice treatment, although they said they don't take groupon on Saturdays (?)... My only other comment is that they didn't honor the Port Chester frequent visitor card, but offered me one of their own.

It all starts with the phone call... I call 3 days in advance, requested a 5:30pm appointment since I leave work at 5pm. The manicurist tells me 5:15PM is better for her so I let her know I may be late. She told me it was ok. I also let her know I have a groupon voucher and she said that's fine. At no time did she mention that they do not accept credit as payment for gratuity nor does it say it on the groupon anywhere. I have gone to several nail salons and they never refused plastic as payment/gratuity. I was interested in additional services but unfortunately it would not meet their $20 minimum. I finally arrive to the nail salon on time picked my color and took a seat. Two other women arrived at the salon shortly after and told the lady they had a 5:30pm appointment. They chose their colors and they were quickly seated soon after. I was finally seated at 5:53pm. Honestly, the only reason I stayed there that long was because of the Groupon voucher. While I was almost done with my pedicure the lady rushes my pedicurist to get out of the way so she could finish the other 2 girls I mentioned earlier. After that we proceeded with the manicure. I had color gel on my nails which the lady then tells me it is an additional $5 to remove them. The removal process added on to my frustration because all the lady did was complain that the gel was too thick. She complained like 5 times! it was driving me nuts. After the fifth time I told her that I changed my mind that i no longer wanted the manicure. I told her all I want her to do is finish removing the gel. She asked me 3 more times if I was sure, and I insisted that I wanted to leave. When I expressed my frustrations to her about my day at her salon she went on to apologize and gave all sorts of excuses. I should have left without tipping her but just the thought made me feel terrible. I would not recommend this place nor will I ever go back. Plus, I don't trust the way they clean their foot tubs. I'm used to plastic covering the tub and it being disposed of after the pedicure is over. All they do here is drain the tub, spritz the tub 3 times with some chemical, lightly brush around the walls and rinse. I just hope I don't get someone else's fungus on my toes. It would be the perfect result to this bad experience.

Were not helpful at all getting my shoes and pants back to order. Ruined my nails before I got into car. Rode home in flip flops in freezing rain.

Seemed unhappy that we used groupon--came 15 minutes late for appt. and they said that we had to wait another hour. Male attendant was curt and had attitude.

Would not go back. My first manicure. Had coupon, ok what would I get for $17? Supposedly demonstration of their mani & pedi ability. They cut & somewhat filed nails, but did nothing about callus' on feet. Ok, again $17 worth. When I paid with coupon they question if it was for their location. I was embarrassed. How else would I know about them. Now 8 of my 10 fingers are now infected.

From Our Editors

Angel Tips has clearly built a fan base since opening its first location in 1996—the business has expanded to more than 60 locations in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Perhaps it's because each licensed staff member formally trains at the Angel Tips training center in Stamford, Connecticut, ensuring that each location employs skilled nailcare and waxing technicians. Their services include pedicures infused with fresh lemon, manicures with hand and shoulder massages, and upgraded manicures with durable, chip-resistant gel polish. They also perform facials and body treatments, such as a signature body scrub, which begins with a sauna session, continues with a dip in a jacuzzi, and finishes with an essential-oil massage.
