Seemed a little disorganized. Nice young kid that served but he was alone there and only his fourth day. He was very friendly and pleasant but the sandwich and fries were sooo salty they were almost inedible. Could be great a second time but there are just too many places to try so wouldn't go back.
My first time there was great. The family that runs the place seem like good people. I will be going back and recommending to everyone i know.
The service is EXTREMELY slow. I would not go back on my lunch hour because even though I am just a couple of miles away, it took almost an hour alone for lunch without travel.
Food was good but service was very slow.
It has a fairly small eating area. The staff seemed a little unorganized, but very attentive. Our fries came a few minutes after our sandwiches. Overall, we would go back if in the area.
The #1 sandwich was SO HOT I couldn't taste the flavor at all.
Not a good for business 2 have a revolver-gun while serving people or anytime! Theres enough violence in this world
special "relish" should be optional
I thought it was OK, but jalopenos
were not expected on pastrami on
The fries were soggy and burnt. Sandwich tasted good, but was soggy in some parts.
From Our Editors
The owners of Mama's Italian Deli claim that their sandwiches are habit forming. Exhibit A is thin-sliced roast beef stacked in a bun-fold and topped with the greens and yellows of a spicy giardiniera pepper mix. Exhibit B is a Chicago-style dog—tomato slices leaning against the bun beside relish and plump yellow peppers. The owners also invite diners to enjoy a slice of New York–style cheesecake on the outdoor patio, but discourage the use of Mama's banana pudding as a sunblock.
