Went in on Sunday afternoon ( for football) the bar tender got our drinks and went on break. staff not working sitting at the bar, grabbed a soda gun shooting water at the fill in bartender. Then she asked at staff member sting next to me drinking, not on the clock I hope to cover the bar she needed a break. My food sat on the bar pass for 5 mins. Horrible. The owner should watch his employees more closely. Ill never go back.

Bartender stated I could sit on patio and a server would be out. I had to go in and find a server. The server was excellent after that. Ordered a beer on tap but was told they were changing it out. I was finally told that there was something wrong and there was no beer on tap. Received a bottled beer after more than 40 minutes (no exaggeration.) After placing my order, the server returned to inform me that they were out so I tried the ribs instead. They were by far the worst ribs I have ever tasted. The atmosphere was good and the server was friendly and attentive after first contact.

Moonshine is a really great place with great food, great music, and and even greater atmosphere. They really have to stock up on their beers sometimes, but overall it is a great place. They're mason jars are a unique idea for drinks, and they're mechanical bull is nearly up so that's even more of a plus!

From Our Editors

Strung from the ceiling are mason jars transformed into light fixtures, illuminating the wood-paneled walls and spacious dance floor of Moonshine Whiskey Bar & Grill. It’s a fitting touch for the country western bar, whose bartenders also fill mason jars with 39 whiskeys, bourbons, moonshines, and scotches, reports the East Valley Tribune.

Within the three-story, 11,000-square-foot establishment, libations flow from four bars, as well as in the kitchen, where head chef Chad Holmes pairs housemade blueberry pancakes with housemade blueberry moonshine syrup. Chad incorporates local ingredients into every item on his from-scratch menu, such as the free-range chicken tenders with bourbon peach BBQ sauce.

The kitchen serves up grub into the wee hours of the night, and bartenders stick around an hour after last call to supply patrons with complementary soft drinks and water. The bar itself stays open until 3 a.m. four nights a week, giving patrons plenty of time for line dancing, riding the bar’s mechanical bull Willie, or cheering up William, the bar’s bored rodeo clown.
