A little more organization at the front when you check in would save some time and confusion. But overall we enjoyed our time there! The food was excellent and the tents were awesome!

My friend and I had a blast watching animals, going on the hayride, buying from food vendors, and trying the wine.

The event was nice and it wasn't too crowded. There was planety of sitting spaces/areas, which was great. Reccommendations: 1. Make sure there is someone watching the restrooms and keeping stock of the toilet paper. 2. The map was a little unclear at first, it would probably be a better idea to have signs directing folks. 3. I felt the food and the wine should have been closer together, it would have been more convenient instead of walking around with plates and then getting your bottle and then sitting down. 4. Food trucks/vendors should offer plastic bags, would have made food/plats easier to handle. 5. I gets pretty dark out there. Once the sun went down, couldn't see the musicians and the kiddos were not able to really enjoy their activities as much. An entertainment show for the kiddos in the future would also be great, perhaps something educational about the animals you house. Other than that, we had a great time. I look forward to future Wine to Wildlife Fest and most definitely will reccommend it to more friends.

Located about 30 miles northwest of San Antonio, Kendall County is tucked into the lush Texas Hill Country and comes tinged with eclectic German heritage. After signing a treaty with local Native American tribes, German immigrants settled in the area during the 1840s and founded the town of Boerne in 1852, which thrives today as a quaint village with an artistic bent. Central European influences linger at local eateries, which dish up traditional cuisine.Hill Country's sprawling prairies and rolling hills are rife with opportunities for outdoor recreation, including boating, fishing, and horseback riding. Nearby, Guadalupe River State Park is bisected by the eponymous river, whose banks are lined with giant bald cypress trees. Adventurers can rent a canoe or kayak and paddle down the scenic waterway, or hire a local teenager to mold fake Bigfoot prints on the nature trails that wend past limestone cliffs.Urban adventures abound in nearby San Antonio, which brims with shopping and dining along its famed River Walk. Self-guided audio tours expound on the history of the King William Historic District, a collection of 19th-century mansions built by German merchants.
