Great deal!

This is my wifes favorite dinner out. Think birthday, anniversary or any other celebration. We feel that a three hour dinner for $100 that is special is better than a 2 hour $50 movie , that we have to go get a $40 dinner separately.

I think this place is prob worth going WITH a Groupon. My boyfriend got the filet mignon and I'm veg and got the veggies. The food was quite good (not life changing). The proportions were fine (I saw this was a complaint. It might be annoying if you got a sampler because you only get a few of each item, but we stuck with one item each and it felt like plenty. Plus then comes dessert). The drinks, service & atmosphere were great. I read complaints about that on Yelp, but everything we experienced was awesome. The problem is just that this place is overpriced. I get that it's fondue and it's fun but for the little bit of work they have to bring un-cooked food, why the big bill even w/Groupon?

The restaurant offers 4 course meal but can definitely go with just the 2 course meal with the groupon (entree and dessert) but if you like vegetables with cheese and salad then go with the 4 course meal. My husband and I were full before dessert.

From Our Editors

When The Melting Pot originally opened in 1975 just outside Orlando, the location was cozy and quaint, but diners had only three options: swiss-cheese fondue, beef fondue, or chocolate fondue. However, as the restaurant grew in popularity, so did its menu selection and atmosphere. The restaurant first expanded four years later under the leadership of a Melting Pot waiter and enterprising college student named Mark Johnston, who teamed up with his brothers Mike and Bob to open a new outpost in Tallahassee. This location grew in reputation to pave the way for future franchise expansion. Today, the company?now owned by the trio of siblings?reigns as the premier fondue, wine, and drink restaurant, stretching across North America with more than 140 restaurants linked by underground tunnels. The restaurant's menu has also ballooned, and patrons can now expect six varieties of hot dipping cheese paired with salads, meats, and molten chocolate.

On a given night, groups of foodies gather around tables to nosh on signature four-course meals, from cheese-fondue appetizers and various salads to steaks and seafood cooked in a choice of healthy broth or oil. Birthday revelers and couples can share decadent evenings at private tables, capping off meals with chocolate desserts that have defined The Melting Pot for decades.
