Reincarnated rat pack members would feel right at home haunting Lucy 51’s lively, retro-inspired lounge, whose ambiance was praised by the eponymous host of Last Call with Carson Daly. The eatery’s chefs accent traditional American comfort fare with clever flourishes, drizzling new york steaks in a zinfandel and portobello mushroom sauce or crafting hearty burgers from 100% buffalo. Plentiful appetizers, such as grilled shrimp skewers and italian bruschetta, divert fingers from grasping martinis and chalices of wine unleashed from a fully stocked bar. Rich, crimson-hued and exposed-brick walls border the watering hole's eclectic furnishings, which include retro neon signs and a harpsichord repurposed as a table. Ornate chandeliers mentor small lamps and candles as they slow-dance and gently illuminate the seating area, where leopard-print fabrics swaddle vintage couches and booths. Patrons can make merry on an alfresco rear den before voyaging to a front patio, ensconced behind a curtain of dangling vines that double as makeshift swizzle sticks. A fleet of flat-screen TVs illumines guests and melodies from live music acts occasionally dance through the air.
