According to legend, 13th-century Mongolian soldiers would slice up meats and vegetables with their swords, place the food on their shields, and hold the shields over campfires to cook. Today, Yummy Mongolian Grill upholds this tradition, only they don't have to cook for finicky horses as well. The restaurant invites its guests to choose whatever combination of proteins, veggies, noodles, and rice they'd like to be heated over giant iron cooktops. Then, they serve the steamy plates as part of all-you-can-eat meals.
