This does not even deserve one star. My hair is ok. NOT AN OMBRÉ as advertised or paid for. However, it was the worst customer service experience of my life. It was a chore just to make the appointment. She is completely unprofessional, disorganized and inconsiderate. When I asked for some of my money back, she told me she can’t do that because with Groupon she only gets 50%. That is not my fault

It's not that she did a terrible job necessarily, it was the customer service. It took 3 scheduled appt.s before I was actually seen. The first time she said she never got my text to confirm our appt. The second I was mistrusting (because of the 1st time) and texted to confirm and she responded asking to change it- I'm not convinced she would've reached out to me (because it was late at night when she did respond). The third I was finally seen. My appt was scheduled for 1pm. I was not in the chair until 1:37 pm, she was working on someone else. While I was there another girl showed up, and she waited around 45 mins before she switched us out of the seats (I received an 'ombre'). Another 20 mins in and another woman shows up- with two small children. If you have not been to Phenix Salon Suites, it is a big space divided into small rooms so it's like each person has their own little personal salon. It works- if there's not 5 people crammed into one. Once she washed my hair (which was not a part of the Groupon) she asked me to comb my own hair out for knots. I understand where that may seem reasonable, however I got the impression that she wanted me to do the work just so that she could wash the other girl's hair. She finally finished my hair and it looked okay, but it wasn't an ombre. She gave me a bunch of little highlights. I was expecting full color, what an ombre is, not a balayage either. I bought the more expensive package, 'valued' at $270, but I do not feel the treatment I received was worth even half that. I hate leaving bad reviews but if a product is advertised and I pay for it, I expect to receive it. She may even argue I had long hair, so that's why I didn't receive the full ombre, however she cut off around 7-8 inches. Therefore, my hair was just at the top of my breasts; short enough where I do expect to receive the full package. My recommendation: I spent around $120 for this service and it was not worth it. Go to a smaller salon that may charge you that without a discount (like Groupon), but at least there you will probably receive better service and get what you want.

So sweet and personable! Loved my hair cut and highlights! Received lots of compliments! Definitely going back to see her!

From Our Editors

Blonde Salon & Spa hardly limits its clients to those with flaxen hair. In fact, owner Desiree Maples is a color specialist—she treats tresses to all-over color, foil highlights, and the hand-painted balayage technique. Her other hair services range from simple trims to keratin smoothing treatments, as well as wedding-ready updos. And she sports a second title: makeup artist.

The salon's menu continues on to cover spray tans, mani-pedis, and waxing. Once it gets to the spa side, relaxation joins forces with cosmetics during anti-wrinkle facials and glycolic-acid peels. To top off a skincare appointment, clients can sink deeper into tranquility with a massage. Resident massage therapist Gudrun Jacobsen targets tense muscles with modalities such as Swedish, deep-tissue, and shiatsu.
