DeJohnette Martial Arts Academy, Vista

Established in 2010, DeJohnette Martial Arts Academy specializes in the instruction of Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan, the original martial art developed by Grandmaster Hwang Kee. Soo Bahk Do is a "striking" art and uses both hand and foot techniques in sparring and forms. Joint locks, take downs, sweeps and throws are incorporated into the self-defense aspect of the training. History, Tradition, Discipline/Respect, Philosophy, and Technique are taught and reinforced throughout the training. The emphasis of these core values makes Soo Bahk Do ideal for men and women, boys and girls, and seniors alike.
